Humanitarian project of the Guardian of Destinations
The "Zlatiboru od Kozara" project was born out of a sincere desire to help a community that really needs help.
At a time when people often get the impression that people have less and less time for each other, we wanted to show the opposite. We wanted to show that there are still people who have empathy, who want to help and who can set an example for the younger generations with their actions.
The idea of this project did not arise from an obligation, but from the feeling that it is important to do something good, sincere and concrete.
During the visit to friends from the Multiart Association in Zlatibor, we got acquainted with their work, the conditions in which they function and the needs of children with developmental difficulties and their families.
Children with developmental disabilities and their parents are already staying in the camp used by the Multiart Association, not only members of this association, but all those who contact them with the desire to stay in the camp. So parents and children from abroad, especially from all over the former Yugoslavia, often stay in the camp. It is very important to mention that the association does not charge anything for staying in their camp. However, the conditions in which they live are not the best, and the accommodation capacities are very limited.
That's exactly why we recognized that we can help.
The goal of the project "Zlatibor from Kozare" is the construction of a facility in the camp of the Association Multiart in Zlatibor, which will be used for the stay of children with developmental difficulties and their parents.
That facility will not be just a space made of bricks, wood and a roof. It will be a place of safety, rest, companionship, work, rehabilitation and new memories for children and their families.
The special value of this project is that we want to do the complete construction ourselves, ie. without hiring or paying other contractors.
People from Kozara, our members, friends, craftsmen, businessmen and volunteers, will go to Zlatibor with their own hands to help build what these families need.
In this way, this project becomes much more than a construction undertaking. It becomes a symbol of friendship between Kozara and Zlatibor, a symbol of solidarity, togetherness and humanity.
How will the project be implemented?
The realization of the project is based on joint work, voluntary participation and support of good people.
It is planned that the funds for the procurement of materials will be provided with the help of businessmen, friends of the project, donors and all people of good will who want to support this story.
On the other hand, a large part of the work will be carried out voluntarily, through the engagement of members of the Guardian of Destinations, our friends, craftsmen, drivers, people who can help with physical work, logistics, transportation, tools, machinery or in any other way.
It is important to emphasize that there are no large or small contributions in this project.
Someone will help with the material. Someone will help with their work. Someone will help with transportation. Someone will help with a kind word.
Every contribution has value and every person who supports this project becomes an important part of it.
Who can participate?
All people of good will can participate in the project.
Businessmen, artisans, builders, drivers, machinery owners, masters, young people, associations, sports clubs, cultural societies, but also all those who want to help at least part of their time, work or support.
The size of the aid is not important to us.
Honest intention is important to us.
Why is this project important?
"Zlatibor od Kozara" is not important only because of the facility we want to build.
This project is also important because of the message it sends.
We want to show that there are still people who are ready to help. We want to show young people that good deeds pay off. We want to show that togetherness still has strength.
When people come together for a good cause, great things happen.
That is why we believe that "Zlatibor od Kozara" is not just one project.
It's a story about people. A story about friendship. A story of hope. A story about the fact that there are still good people among us.
